This guide aims to help developers set up the RaspberryPi 4 to get started with Matter development. It provides guidance on how to install Ubuntu 20.04 (or later) on a Raspberry Pi 4 that supports Matter operations. Because Matter is still under development, this guide stands aside from the usual Simplicity Studio approach Therefore this guide applies only if you wish to start Matter Alpha development.

Set minimum version of Home Assistant Core needed for the add-on. This version is decided based on the chip SDK version available in Home Assistant Core.

Simplify docker file installation of chip SDK. It's included in the matter server extra requirements.
