It has good HomeKit implementation and can be connected with it to Hass.
And it don't support BLE and Mesh devices.



I integrated an aqara M1s hub into home assistant using homekit controller

解决方法：
1、恢复出厂设置（连续按10下以后，语音提示以后再按几下），此时HA并无反应。最终语音提示位通过aqaraapp接入网关
2、利用AQARA APP接入网关，期间网关的网络设置已经成功，然后HA就有反应了，然后绑定就没有问题了

完美解答，别问我折腾了多久。。。。先用小米或者绿米app添加（会调用HomeKit），添加完后在小米app里面添加子设备（aqara那个app根本不能成功连接D1系列墙开）。最后在苹果家庭里面删除网关（小米里面不删），然后直接去ha设置集成HomeKit控制器最后就是输入编码。而如果是长按或点按还原网关，虽然能在ha通知里看到，但是转圈圈再久也连接不上，因为本质上还原后未经过完整设置的M1s不能访问到家里的网络。

Add M1s in apple Home app

Go to integrations
Click Add Intergration
Find Homekit Controller
You will see Aqara Hub, choose it and input Homekit code (8 number)
if you do not see Aqara Hub at step 4, The first, you must pair Aqara Hub with homekit successful, then you open Home app and remove Aqara Hub, then perform step 1, 2, 3, 4

Add M1s in apple Home app

Regarding the gateway you should be able to add it to homekit on your iPhone by scanning the homekit barecode. See here: https://youtu.be/kac5rfVro8E 230

If that works, remove it from your iPhone and pair it with the homekit_controller on HA

There are different mode on the device :

we need to use the button on the 1st startup when the device is blinking.

problem for me the device work in Chinese, but a the end of the message the voice say "Mijia app" or "Aqara Home app".

in my case that was the problem. Mijia app mode

so to change : 10 times press on the button and wait the next message

then 2 times press and wait, then there is a reboot and a new message with Aqara Home at the end.

The configuration succeed but only working with "region : China Server"

Important! To pair to the Mi Home app, you must change the hub configuration from the Aqara App to the Mi Home app as follows:

1. Unplug from the outlet.

2. turn on and wait about a minute.

3. Press the button about 10 times and wait until you hear that the device has been reset

4. shortly after restarting the device, quickly press the button twice until you hear a sound.

5. then the sound "open aquara app" should be replaced by "open mi home app" and the device should be found and automatically paired in Mi Home App.

HomeKit Controller Wi-Fi  device support

HomeKit IP accessories for these device types may work with some caveats:

If the device is Wi-Fi based and has no physical controls or screen then you may need an Apple HomeKit device like an iPhone or iPad to get the accessory onto your Wi-Fi network.

For example, for a Koogeek LS1 you must add the accessory to HomeKit on your iOS device, then remove it from the iOS device. This leaves the LS1 in an unpaired state but still on your Wi-Fi. Home Assistant can then find it and pair with it.

You need to know the HomeKit PIN. There is no way to recover this if you do not have it. In this case, you will need to contact the manufacturer to see what options you have.

Paring code

Aqara Motion Sensor through Homekit Controller not exposing LUX sensor

I've added the original aqara motion sensors (not P1) to the Aqara app and they are then exposed in HA via the Homekit controller but the Lux value is missing. I do see Motion and Battery. I can see Lux in the Aqara app.
